The low cost of the pad is due to the fact that EZ Touch utilizes an off the shelf product in the form of the Dell Axim X3i. This Wi/Fi  PDA pad is operated using Microsoft Windows CE, which is directly compatible with the operating system used in the standard EZ Touch screen modules.
